With the Prime Minister prostrating to His Majesty that as the House of Representatives has been performing its duties since 2019 and has now closed the fourth annual general meeting, which is the last year of the House of Representatives term It is expedient to dissolve the House of Representatives in order to hold a new general election of members of the House of Representatives. According to the provisions of the Constitution of the Kingdom of Thailand which is the return of political decision-making power to the people by in order for the continuation of the democratic regime of government with the King as Head of State
By virtue of Section 103 and Section 175 of the Constitution of the Kingdom of Thailand. therefore graciously The Royal Decree is hereby enacted as follows:
Section 1. This Royal Decree is called the "Royal Decree Dissolving the House of Representatives B.E. 2023"
Section 2 This Royal Decree shall come into force from the date of its publication in the Government Gazette.
Section 3. The House of Representatives is dissolved in order to have a new election of members of the House of Representatives. It's a general election.
Section 4 There shall be a general election of members of the House of Representatives on the date specified by the Election Commission, which must not be less than 45 days but not more than 60 days from the date this Royal Decree comes into force.
Section 5. The Chairperson of the Election Commission shall have charge and control of the execution of this Royal Decree.
