A Russian plane carrying 19 passengers made a forced landing Friday after it went missing over Siberia.
All of those on board survived after the Russian Emergencies Ministry confirmed the disappearance of an An-28 aircraft. At least three crew members were on the flight, which was bound for the city of Tomsk after departing from Kedrovoye.
The crew had not reported problems to authorities, though the aircraft's emergency light was activated, indicating a possible crash landing.
Search efforts were triggered, and helicopters began canvassing the area.
On July 6, an An-26 plane, a similar aircraft, crashed in Kamchatka, Russia, killing all 28 passengers during an episode of low visibility as pilots tried to land at an airport. Much of the debris was found in the Sea of Okhotsk after the plane hit a rocky cliff.
UPDATE: This article has been updated to reflect that the plane and passengers were located.
